Not green (that’d be too obvious)
He considers adding hot sauce on top
A side of bacon (not ham, but from Chicago)
He always starts with that
Two waffles (he doesn’t touch them)
Black coffee (it’s not coffee if you add anything)
The smell helps him to wake up
He hates the taste (prefers to drink tea)
Doesn’t even glance at the plate of pancakes
Two of them arranged side-by-side (not in a stack)
The maple syrup also forgotten
He reaches for a glass of juice
Knocks it over instead (distracted by the coffee)
He isn’t usually so careless
It spills all over the eggs
He was just about to take another bite
Suddenly he isn’t hungry anymore
